Sunless Airbrush Tanning Information Q&A
What is it? A technician applies a DHA/ bronzer solution. The DHA develops a tan in the period 2 to 24 hours after the session and last approximately 4-10 days. The bronzer gives an immediate color that washes off in the shower.
Booth verses air brush versus our Sunless Spray Tan System? We have researched the various options available. Booths tend to over apply to some areas causing running and under apply in others resulting in uneven tanning. They require the clients to towel off the excess and experiment with different positions over several sessions to try to get all areas tanned. They offer no options for partial tanning, or the use of different solutions. Air brush tanning does a great job getting all areas evenly covered, But lack the power to efficiently tan a full body. Our Sunless Spray Tan System uses a high tech airbrush to tan intricate areas like the face and a high performance HVLP spray system for even full body coverage.
What preparations should I make before my Sunless Tan application? Be free of lotions make-up and perfumes. Exfoliating your skin with a scrub or sea salts will make your sunless tan last longer.
What do I wear? For a full body tan you should wear at least some kind of bottoms. Men must wear some type of boxers as a minimum. If you do wear a bathing suit, underwear, or anything else, please be aware that whatever you wear may be stained. The bronzer we use for your initial color is water-soluble and should wash out of anything you wear, but the DHA applied may cause permanent stains on some clothing you wear during application.

How long should I wait after my session before showering? We recommend you wait at least 8 hours (4 hours minimum) after your session before showering. If you can, waiting over night is recommended. Will my skin have an odor after the session? The Sunless Spray Tan solutions has a unique scent. You may be able to notice it for a few hours after your session.
Will it turn me orange? In the past, self-tanners gave many individuals an unnatural orange glow and caused streaking. Most of these undesirable results were caused by improper or ineffective application techniques. Applying creams and lotions by hand usually results in excessive amounts being absorbed in the skin. Excessive amounts applied in a single application can give an orange glow to the skin. Unnatural dark spots may also appear in dry or thick skinned areas such as elbows, knees, and knuckles because these areas have a tendency to absorb more of the cream. Booth spray-on applicators tend to run, cause streaking and missed areas. Our Sunless Spray technology used to apply the tanning solution assures that all areas of the body get a uniform coating of the solution in the exact quantity required to produce a golden brown tan.
Has anyone had an allergic reaction to the chemicals used in the Sunless Spray Tan solutions? All of the components of the Sunless Spray solution have been used in cosmetics and food products for decades and have proven to be safe for use on the skin. If you have had previous allergic reactions to self tanning lotions or cosmetics, we reccomend you do a "patch test" by putting a small amount of the solution on a small area of the skin to test for possible reactions.
